- This extremely frightened dog in poor shape was removed from the pound and slowly allowed to recover in peace and quiet at the sanctuary. Kate was homed to a gentle and empathetic couple in Northern Ireland, where she has finally come out of her shell and become a real ambassador for the breed! |
- Maggie was among 3 greyhounds found to be in extremely bad condition, though she was by far the worst of the 3, a walking skeleton with several other health problems. She arrived here in February 2006 and within a few weeks stole the heart of a woman in France who does greyhound homing as well. Maggie turned into a most beautiful and loving family pet, who now gives kisses and "dances" when asked! |

- Seamus arrived here in early 2005, a thin, nervous, and very frightened little man. Within months he blossomed into a happy-go-lucky gentleman who was adopted by a young couple near Dublin |

- This lovely brindle girl was one of the nicest, most gentle and intelligent greyhounds I ever had here. She was homed here in Ireland, and now lives her life relaxing on a horse farm with an older terrier. |

- FeBasil arrived here in January 2006, a less-than-successful courser and weighing close to 90 pounds. He now lives in a home outside of Dublin with two small children...and a cat!!! |

- Louise was a well cared-for greyhound who was handed in to another rescue and fostered here at the sanctuary. Homed through a Boston-area rescue group to a couple from that region, Louise is now living the good life and enjoying her people. |

- Eight year old Maxi arrived here in September 2005 in poor condition and emotionally blank, with no tail wag in sight. She was singled out by a woman who works as a nurse, and the accompaying photo, though a bit blurry, shows Maxi just melting in her arms, less than 12 hours after having met her. Maxi is now happily living in the UK and loves to go running on the beach! |
