Hello, I'm Micheál (MEE hall), and me and my Queen Maeve welcome you to life at the sanctuary. Almost all of us are former racing greyhounds who were lucky enough to be rescued. The sanctuary itself has almost 3 enclosed acres, and we live together as a pack and have a lot of space for running and playing. Here, there are no kennels, and we go in and out of the house all day.

I am the pack leader here, as I happen to be the greyhound living here the longest, with Queen Maeve arriving after me. We are certain that we own this place, though there is a lady who thinks SHE is the boss....but we know better! Since I arrived, I have seen so many greyhound brothers and sisters arrive, and then eventually get homes. No one here was ever considered a lost cause by my owner, no matter how bad condition they arrived in. She is very patient with them and teaches basic manners. Meave and I learned here basic household manners, how to socialise with other dogs, humans (tall and small) and we also received housetraining. In other words, we all learn to become pets.

When our owner thinks we are ready for a one to one socialising (with humans) we get recomemnted for adoption. In the menu you can have a look for members and exmembers of my pack.
