David

DAVID - David is a large and robust greyhound, a former open dog with impressive bloodlines. He arrived to the sanctuary in very poor condition in February 2006. He was very thin, dehydrated, had several large open sores, massive hair loss, and was depressed. He has now blossomed into a stunning and just smashing boy, generally reserved and quiet but always smiling, well behaved in public, and gets along well with other dogs. He is fine with smaller dogs but because he loves to play and can be rambunctious, he is better to have a medium to large dog for a playmate. David is neutered, vaccinated, housebroken, good on the leash and in general a real gent!
Beau Beau - Beau is a strapping large boy with soft eyes who loves to shake hands...he is also a special cruelty case, and he and his kennel mate were found in extremely bad condition, needing immediately veterinary attention. His kennel mate died, and Beau lived at the vet's for three weeks before being released. Up until very recently, he was and at times still can be terrified of men, and will visibly tremble if he feels even slightly threatened. Some men he does accept, however, and once he does he is a different dog, seeking to be hugged and cuddled. Beau loves to go for walks, and gets along with all the other dogs here. He is housebroken and generally very well behaved, and is just a big softie. Provisionally booked but not homed yet.

Angus

Angus - Angus is newly arrived, and is turning out to be an intelligent and well-behaved gentleman. He has adapted to running free with the pack beautifully and with no incidents. He is a medium height dog but is very muscular, and has a large amount of hair missing on the back of his thighs right now. Angus appreciates and seeks attention, and will settle into a new home very easily. He is one of the nicest and most quickly-adapting males I have ever had here. Angus is neutered and vaccinated.

Cricket

Cricket - Little Cricket, despite her impressive bloodlines, arrived here in February 2006 in very poor condition but high spirits (see 3rd photo). It took several months for her coat to come back, but she has turned into a lively, happy, biddable and quite beautiful lady with a stunning and soft coat. Cricket is housebroken, great with other dogs, good with children, great in the car, and is otherwise a very good all-around dog. She would make an excellent companion for a single person, couple, or a family, and after such bad times really deserves a home of her own.

Dash

Dash - Dash arrived here in good spirits and good condition. He is a large, beautiful, very happy and playful young man, who gets along with all the other dogs here. He needs a bit more training on the leash and is still learning about "the house rules", but he shows a very gentle and intelligent side of himself at times, and will no doubt be a devoted companion. Dash is also a near-relative of David, and the two are almost identical in appearence!
